On January 19th, 2019, Dr. Samvel Danielyan was appointed as director of the Hematology Center after Prof. R.H. Yeolyan.

Dr. Danielyan received an MD degree and had a residency in pediatrics at the Yerevan State Medical University. Later in 1992, Dr. Danielyan received a Ph.D. degree in pediatric hematology and oncology from the Moscow Institute of Pediatrics.

Dr. Danielyan has a leading role in the development of pediatric cancer services in Armenia. Before 2007, Dr. Danielyan was the head of the Oncology Department at the Yerevan State Medical University and the Pediatric Department in Hematology Center after Prof. R.H. Yeolyan. Later, Dr. Danielyan, with his bright team of oncologists, established the Chemotherapy Clinic in the Muratsan Hospital Complex. He was the first to initiate the utilization of internationally accepted guidelines for cancer treatment among children and adults in Armenia, which significantly impacted the survival rates from cancer in Armenia.
